is important that we all follow these simple rules to

ensure a continued unblemished safety record.

Failure to abide by these rules at any time shall be

considered a breach of the membership agreement, and

subject to review by the IFGA Board.

The 10 Commandments of gun safety shall be observed

at all times!

Rifle range is open to club members and their guests

only. Member must be present when guests are shooting.

All members must have their ID Badge on while shooting

at the range.

Shooting is only allowed between 10AM and 1 hour

before sunset.

Eye and ear protection is strongly recommended.

Firing of unsafe firearms or ammunition is prohibited.

Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is

strictly prohibited in all range areas.

An experienced shooter shall be chosen as Range

Officer (RO) by any group using the range. It shall be this

individual’s responsibility to ensure safe shooting

practices, and proper range use.

The RO shall establish a safe firing line for reference

when shooting. All shooters must remain behind this line

at all times until the RO designates that all weapons are

empty and safe, and that it is safe to enter the range area

to set or score targets.

Guns must be maintained with action open and unloaded

at all times unless all shooters are behind the safety line,

and a designated range officer has indicated that it is

safe to fire.

No handling of firearms is permitted when any shooter is

forward of the firing line.

No firearm is to be loaded until all shooters are behind

the line and ready to fire.

Shooting at paper targets only. No cans, bottles,

wood, steel or other non-paper targets are allowed.

Single shot firing only. Rapid fire is prohibited.

A shooter is allowed to have only one firearm at the line

at any time. All other firearms must be cased.

Firing directly into 100yd berm only. For safety, shooters

must not use the 25yd and 50yd berms. If shooting at

short range, shooting position must be advanced

up-range.

If in doubt, please ask a club member or officer for

assistance.
