This is a 16 hour course which will be covered over 2 Saturdays, Saturday 25 Apr and Saturday 2 May. You must attend both sessions to be certified.
If you are a hunter, hiker, boater, or anticipate being in a first aid situation that could be more than 1/2 hour away from advanced care, this course is for you!
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross
Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is
to provide individuals a foundation of first aid
principles and skills to be able to respond to
emergencies and give care in areas that do not
have immediate emergency medical services
(EMS) response, such as wilderness and remote
environments, including urban disasters, such as
earthquakes and hurricanes.
Course cost is $150.00 and includes snacks, drinks, and course manuals. Discounts will be provided to Military and First Responders. Adult CPR must be completed prior to completion of the course. A separate CPR course can be arranged for people requiring it.
